China New Year’s Day 2025: holiday dates and sourcing preparations

The following are China’s published New Year’s Day arrangements for 2025. Dates refer to the calendar in China.

• Holiday period: 1 January 2025 (Wednesday); 1 day in total.
• Designated make-up working days: none for this holiday.

Before ordering or dispatching

For orders spanning the year end, align the order reference, invoice addressee and payment-confirmation schedule. If goods are needed early in January, confirm the receiving date in Japan separately from the collection schedule in China.

Individual factories, warehouses and transport providers may operate different schedules. Confirm the arrangements for the actual order and service rather than treating the public calendar as a production or collection confirmation.
