Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q. Can I initiate an RFQ inquiry using only product photos or reference links?
A. Certainly. Simply provide reference images or URLs alongside your target use case, estimated order volume, and delivery window. Our team will promptly assess manufacturing feasibility, budgetary price ranges, tooling methods, and supplier MOQs.
Q. Can we start discussions if technical specifications are not yet fully defined?
A. Absolutely. Share your target audience, intended application, target budget, and benchmark products. Our bilingual project managers will help structure open requirements into actionable engineering specifications and guide you through subsequent milestone decisions.
Q. What are the typical Minimum Order Quantities (MOQ)?
A. MOQ depends on product category, material grades, tooling status, and packaging customization. Ready-stock sourcing can often be supported with small test runs (from tens of units), whereas custom molded OEM requires higher batch volumes. We negotiate the most favorable MOQs for your specific project. (Please refer to our Pricing page for agency fee structures.)
View Pricing & Terms Details →Q. Can I order physical prototypes or samples before mass production?
A. Yes, we strongly encourage prototype sampling. We coordinate sample production and dispatch with manufacturers, clearly quoting prototype fees, applicable agency handling, and international courier costs upfront so you can physically verify dimensions, finish, and mechanical fit.
View Pricing & Terms Details →Q. Can GAMU work with a supplier or factory I have already selected?
A. Yes, absolutely. We frequently act as the local agent for client-nominated suppliers. Whether you require Chinese business negotiation, purchase order administration, on-site milestone monitoring, pre-shipment QC inspection, custom packaging, or international freight forwarding, we handle the exact phases you designate under a transparent agency agreement.
Q. What specific checkpoints are included in your QC inspections?
A. Standard checkpoints cover exterior aesthetics (scratches, burrs, contamination), piece count verification, SKU/model matching, Pantone color adherence, and compliance labeling. Precision caliper measurements, electrical functionality checks, and certified third-party lab testing are customized according to product engineering requirements.
View Quality Control Services →Q. Do you perform 100% full inspection or statistical AQL sampling?
A. Both protocols are fully supported. Depending on unit value, order volume, and quality stringency, you may select statistical sampling based on international ISO/AQL standards (Level II standard) or opt for our piece-by-piece 100% full precision inspection (available at CNY 4/item).
View Quality Control Services →Q. How are defects handled when discovered during inspection?
A. We immediately compile a photo-documented defect report detailing issue classification, piece counts, and root causes. Under our pre-agreed contract terms, GAMU actively manages on-site factory negotiations to enforce free rework, replacement of non-conforming units, or reproduction of shortages before authorizing shipment release.
View Quality Control Services →Q. Can you consolidate cargo from multiple manufacturers into a single shipment?
A. Yes, cargo consolidation is one of GAMU’s core strengths. Goods from disparate factories across China are received at our Guangzhou hub, where we coordinate storage, inbound SKU verification, customized re-packing, and combined export—substantially reducing your international freight and customs clearance expenses.
View Consolidation & Shipping →Q. Can you deliver directly to Amazon FBA or designated fulfillment centers?
A. Yes, we routinely handle direct warehouse fulfillment. Simply provide your destination warehouse address and current receiving guidelines. We ensure 100% compliance with strict receiving standards, including FBA carton labels, palletization specifications, carton dimension limits, and delivery appointment bookings.
View Consolidation & Shipping →Q. Are international shipping, customs duties, and import taxes included in quotes?
International freight is quoted separately. Under DAP terms, import duties and taxes are payable by the buyer, and the carrier may contact the buyer directly. Applicable rates depend on the product classification. Please contact our team for details. DDP arrangements including customs clearance and import charges are quoted individually, with included costs and responsibilities confirmed in advance.
View Shipping Rate Schedule →Q. What is the payment milestone schedule and accepted settlement methods?
A. As standard commercial practice, an initial production deposit is required upon PO confirmation and specification freeze, with the remaining balance and international freight settled upon pre-shipment QC approval. Payments are accepted via Japanese domestic bank transfer (JPY) or Hong Kong corporate bank wire. (Transactions through a Japanese corporate bank account may incur an additional 10% tax depending on the transaction terms. We will confirm whether it applies in your quotation.)
Q. Is specification re-confirmation necessary for repeat orders?
A. Yes, re-validation is an essential safeguard against quality drift. While referencing previously approved master specifications, we re-verify raw material batch consistency, factory tooling condition, market commodity price fluctuations, and regulatory packaging revisions prior to authorizing repeat production.
Q. How quickly will GAMU respond to initial enquiries?
Monday–Friday, 10:00–19:00 Japan time (JST). During business hours, we aim to send an initial reply within 30 minutes. (We also respond to enquiries on Saturdays and public holidays, with a reply on the same day.) This is an initial response, not a completed quotation. We will explain any research and confirmation needed.
Schedule Adjustments, Anomalies & Post-Delivery Support
If a manufacturer or logistics carrier flags potential delays, we notify you immediately and propose realistic recovery options (such as switching from ocean to expedited air, subject to prior cost approval). If damage or quantity shortages are detected upon delivery, please submit your PO number, photos, and affected piece counts within 7 business days; we will swiftly investigate liability and execute corrective replenishment or financial settlement.
Regulated Product Categories Requiring Advance Compliance Review
Importation of foods, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, direct-application cosmetic formulas, PSE-regulated electrical appliances, children's toys, and hazardous materials requires meticulous advance compliance review. Destination regulations (Japan's PMD Act, Electrical Appliance and Material Safety Act / PSE, Food Sanitation Act), statutory export/import permits, and air transport safety documentation (MSDS) must be individually audited. Project feasibility cannot be determined by category name alone.
