China Labour Day 2026: holiday dates and sourcing preparations

The following are China’s published Labour Day arrangements for 2026. Dates refer to the calendar in China.

Published schedule

• Holiday period: 1 May 2026 (Friday) to 5 May 2026 (Tuesday); 5 days in total.
• Designated make-up working days: 9 May 2026 (Saturday).

Before ordering or dispatching

If samples or artwork need approval before the break, list the open decisions and identify the person responsible for replying. Confirm when revisions can be checked and how the production schedule will continue after the holiday.

Individual factories, warehouses and transport providers may operate different schedules. Confirm the arrangements for the actual order and service rather than treating the public calendar as a production or collection confirmation.

Contacting GAMU

GAMU replies to enquiries on the same day, including weekends and holidays. Questions requiring factory input or transport arrangements will be followed up according to the relevant provider’s availability.
