This service is for business procurement by companies, salons and D2C brands. Sole proprietors operating salons or brands are also welcome to enquire. We do not sell small quantities of individual, undecorated containers for personal use.

For salon-exclusive products and cosmetics sold through clinics, the finished product needs more than a formula: the container should be easy to use and make the right impression in the customer's hands.

When planning products containing exosome-related ingredients, equine placenta or high-concentration vitamin C, start by matching the container to the contents, method of use and required capacity.

Based in Guangzhou, China, GAMU is a planning, development and manufacturing partner working with cooperating factories.

We discuss your requirements in Japanese and coordinate containers, decoration, inserts and retail boxes into one finished specification.

Focusing on initial runs of 500–1,000 sets, we propose combinations suited to your launch by using existing tooling and materials where appropriate.

1. Syringe-style containers: plan professional-use sets and home-care formats

Syringe-style containers resemble syringes in shape but are designed to dispense and apply cosmetics.

When considering capacities such as 1 mL, 5 mL and 10 mL, check the viscosity of the contents, the amount used per application, the tip design and how securely the cap stays in place.

In either case, physical samples are used to check how easily the container can be removed and how it fits inside the box before finalising the production specification.

This article covers cosmetic containers, rather than medical devices for injections or surgical use. Individual sealing and sterilisation are separate specifications.

Sealing a container in a pouch or using paper or film packaging does not, by itself, make it sterilised or sterile medical packaging.

  • Container: capacity, material, tip design, cap and compatibility with the contents
  • Packaging: individual wrapping, set configurations such as packs of ten, and Japanese-language labelling
  • Verification: dispensing performance, component fit, printing or labels, and how the product is secured during transport

2. Vials: match the bottle, insert and retail box using the same physical sample

Designing packaging from a vial or serum bottle's external dimensions alone can overlook the cap height, shoulder shape or the way the insert holds the bottle.

Using the actual container as the reference, we adjust the bottle decoration, insert and retail box in parallel to bring appearance and handling together.

If your target is around two weeks, we clarify whether that means specification approval, prototyping, production, dispatch or arrival in Japan, then advise on a feasible schedule.

Designing packaging to reduce transit breakage does not constitute a guarantee that breakage will never occur.

  • Shared reference materials: the physical container, dielines, approved samples and set contents
  • Insert: holding points, ease of removal and spacing between bottles
  • Retail box: printing, surface finish, opening and closing method, and outer shipping packaging

3. Tubes with integrated beauty devices: develop the container and electronics together

For eye-cream or neck-cream tubes with metal applicator heads, choosing a container and electronic components separately is not enough to define the finished product.

By coordinating with cooperating factories for tubes, heads, circuit boards and other components, GAMU works through grip, dispensing outlet, assembly method, power supply and operating conditions, starting with small-batch prototypes.

Alongside user experience, we examine output conditions, leakage and its possible effect on electronic components, and cleaning methods.

The necessary safety checks and specialist testing are determined for the specific product configuration, power supply and sales market.

Customisation options by order quantity

The table below is a planning guide for sourcing containers and packaging together.

Quantities refer to completed sets and vary with the container type, manufacturing process and minimum order quantities for materials.

Before quoting, we check the requirements for the container, printing and box against your target quantity.

Quantity guide for combined container and retail-box sourcing
Order quantityContainer specificationIndividual wrapping, retail box and insertRecommended use or project stage
Around 100 sets (prototyping and validation)Existing containers in plain or standard colours, limited to container types that can support this quantity.Stock-size boxes or simple sample boxes.Crowdfunding preparation or in-salon validation. This is a prototyping stage leading to production; standalone orders for only 100 sets are outside this service.
500–1,000 sets (core small-batch range)Standard containers with Japanese-language labels. Screen printing may also be considered for some containers.Custom-printed retail boxes with purpose-designed inserts. Individual sealed packaging is assessed according to the container shape and packaging materials.Initial launches of salon-exclusive products or cosmetics sold through clinics. This is the main plan for coordinating containers and packaging together.
3,000–10,000 sets and above (production and expansion)Screen printing, foil stamping, custom-colour painting and new tooling can be considered. Quantity requirements and setup costs are checked for each process.Fully customised rigid boxes, multi-item assortments and set assembly.Moving into larger-scale production, e-commerce or retail expansion, and repeat orders. Specifications and supply terms are organised with replenishment in mind.

Prototype quantities and minimum production quantities are separate requirements.

Decoration, sealing, special shapes and electronic mechanisms are confirmed after samples have been reviewed.

This table concerns cosmetic packaging. It does not set out supply conditions for injection, surgical or sterile medical packaging.

Review product, sourcing support, inspection and shipping costs separately

The combined container and retail-box sourcing service follows the global fee policy.

Orders under $100 USD (¥700 RMB) have a fixed service fee of $45 USD (¥300 RMB); at $100 USD (¥700 RMB) or above, the fee is 12% of product value.

The same work is not charged twice. If formulation or cosmetic filling is included, its terms are reviewed separately from container sourcing.

Coordinating suppliers and production steps in China can reduce order-related rework and mismatches between components, allowing the overall cost to be reviewed.

Define the checks for detailed inspection of every unit at $0.60 USD (¥4 RMB) per unit

Detailed inspection of every unit can be discussed at $0.60 USD (¥4 RMB) per unit for visual and other checks agreed in advance.

We agree in advance on the scope counted as one inspected item, including checks such as cap fit and print quality.

Any reinspection or additional work proceeds after its terms have been confirmed.

100% inspection means checking every unit against the agreed criteria.

Share progress, inspection photos and shipping information by order

GAMU's customer portal links order status, production and inspection records, photographs, related documents, and partial-shipment and delivery information to each order.

Points requiring confirmation with your contact person can also be kept together, reducing the need to search through email or chat for documents.

Start with photos and a target quantity, even before the specification is final

You do not need a finished specification at the outset.

With reference-product photographs or URLs, a target quantity, capacity, sales market and preferred timing, we can identify the points to confirm when combining containers and packaging.

This is a separate service from the existing basic online check at ¥83.33 RMB per review, with USD pricing confirmed in the quotation.

Reviewing publicly available records, such as company registration information, and conducting an on-site visit are separate tasks; research alone does not guarantee a safe transaction.

  • A reference image, product URL or drawing
  • Initial quantity, target capacity, and preferences for the container, box and insert
  • Sales market, preferred timing, approximate budget, and whether contents or filling are included

Frequently asked questions

Q. At 500–1,000 sets, can every container be printed, boxed and individually sealed?

It depends on the container and process. We primarily consider standard containers with labels, combined with custom inserts and printed retail boxes.

Direct printing on the container and individual sealing are advised on after checking minimum order quantities, shape, materials and production steps.

Q. Can I order only 100 sets?

Around 100 sets is a prototyping and validation stage for a project intended to move into production. We first confirm which containers can support it.

Standalone orders for only 100 sets and sales of individual containers for personal use are outside this service.

Please start by telling us your intended initial production quantity and use.

Q. Can a salon or brand enquire without being incorporated?

Yes. Sole proprietors operating salons or brands are welcome to discuss development and sourcing for business activities such as product sales or salon treatments.

Eligibility is not determined solely by whether a business is incorporated. Personal use and small purchases of individual, undecorated containers are outside this service.

Q. Are syringe-style containers intended for injections? Does individual sealing mean they are sterilised?

This article concerns containers for dispensing and applying cosmetics. We do not present them as medical devices suitable for injections or surgery, or as sterile packaging.

Individual sealing and sterilisation are separate specifications: sealing alone does not make a product sterilised.

Q. Are microcurrent and vibration the same function?

They are different functions. Microcurrent requires consideration of electrodes and control conditions, while vibration requires consideration of the motor and its drive conditions.

When combined, each function needs its own specification and verification method.

Please discuss the safety checks and specialist testing needed for the power supply and product configuration separately.

Q. What do the basic fee and detailed inspection at $0.60 USD (¥4 RMB) per unit include?

Orders under $100 USD (¥700 RMB) have a fixed service fee of $45 USD (¥300 RMB); at $100 USD (¥700 RMB) or above, the fee is 12% of product value.

Freight, duties and taxes are excluded from the percentage base. The paired amounts are fixed display prices, not live exchange rates.

Optional piece-by-piece inspection is $0.60 USD (¥4 RMB) per unit for the agreed checklist. Prototypes, materials, specialist testing and additional work are quoted separately.

Q. Does factory background research and initial sample coordination from ¥500 RMB (USD amount quoted) include samples and shipping?

No. Factory background research and initial sample coordination starts from ¥500 RMB (USD amount quoted).

We first agree on the target factory, checks, sample specifications and the scope of coordination for sample arrangements.
