A coordinated packaging set starts with how the parts work together.
For an independent beauty brand, a distinctive bottle is useful only when the pump fits, the tray holds it securely and the retail box survives the journey to your warehouse.
Choose the right route for 500–1,000 sets
Treat the quantity as a starting point for selecting processes. Each component has its own production conditions; the set is feasible only when those conditions work together.
| Component | Practical starting point | What can change the MOQ or cost |
|---|---|---|
| Cosmetic container | An existing bottle, jar, vial or dispensing-container mould | A new shape, resin, custom colour, coating or decoration process |
| Pump or cap | An existing closure matched to the neck finish and intended product | New tooling, output dose, sealing parts or specialist performance requirements |
| Vacuum-formed blister tray | A tray designed around the approved container and accessories | Material, sheet thickness, cavity depth, tooling and forming yield |
| Printed box or gift box | A structure sized around the approved filled tray | Paper grade, printing, foil, surface finish, hand assembly and board quantity |
Existing moulds and suitable decoration can make a 500–1,000-set run practical. A fully new injection-moulded container may need a larger production run and a separate tooling budget.
A small trial should be discussed against the intended production plan, with trial costs and later order conditions stated separately.
Define the complete set before requesting prices
Send reference images, intended fill volume, product type, target retail presentation, quantity and destination.
Include the formula's packaging needs if known, such as viscosity, light sensitivity or compatibility concerns. An empty-container appearance sample cannot establish formula compatibility.
Fit-testing across factories
Begin with drawings and tolerances, then bring physical samples together.
Check the bottle or jar against the pump, cap and sealing components; confirm neck fit, closure height and assembly.
Leakage, dispensing, formula compatibility and transport testing need their own agreed methods, samples and acceptance criteria.
Keep an approved sample, drawings and a revision record.
A fit approval applies to the checked combination; changing the container, pump, tray material or box structure can require another check.
Materials and supporting documents
FSC-certified paper boxes and PCR cosmetic containers can be discussed as supplier options.
For FSC claims, check the supplier's relevant chain-of-custody scope and the claim on the actual product and transaction documents.
Ask what each document covers and who issues it. ISO 22716 or GMPC factory documentation should identify the manufacturing site and its scope.
Availability is checked with the partner factory; these are not GAMU-owned certifications or automatic permission to sell in a destination market.
Agree AQL sampling or piece-by-piece inspection
AQL sampling uses an agreed sampling plan, defect categories and acceptance limits to make a lot decision. It is different from checking every item.
Confirm the inspection level, sample size, criteria and treatment of rejected lots before production.
Budget for sourcing and development
For orders under $100 USD (¥700 RMB), the fixed service fee is $45 USD (¥300 RMB). At $100 USD (¥700 RMB) or above, the service fee is 12% of product value.
Freight, duties and taxes are excluded from the percentage base.
Plan EXW, FOB Guangzhou or DDP delivery
We can assess routes to the US, Europe, UK, Australia, Middle East, Southeast Asia and Latin America.
Provide the full delivery address, product and material details, quantity, carton measurements and weight.
Cargo restrictions, importer requirements and destination rules affect the available service.
- EXW: goods are made available at the named place in China. Collection, export and import arrangements must be clearly assigned.
- FOB Guangzhou: for sea or inland-waterway transport, identify the Guangzhou port and shipment terms. Delivery occurs when the goods are on board; onward freight and import arrangements are separate.
- DDP (Delivered Duty Paid): a quotation can be assessed for door-to-door delivery with seller-arranged import clearance and applicable duties and taxes, with goods ready for unloading at the named destination. Confirm the importer arrangement, eligible goods, tax treatment, included charges and exclusions in writing before booking.
DDP availability is assessed for the shipment. It does not make every cosmetic formula, battery-powered item or destination eligible, and it does not replace product compliance work.
Start with one packaging brief
Send your container reference, fill volume, pump or cap needs, tray and box concept, expected quantity, target date and destination.
We can identify which components can use existing moulds, what needs sampling and which questions must be resolved before a complete quotation.
